The New York Equal Rights Amendment

Our NY Assembly and Senate passed the NY ERA. Now it’s our turn to vote to pass it in November. Look for the amendment on the back of your ballot.

What is the NY ERA? The New York State Constitution does not protect all of us. The Equal Rights Amendment will protect New Yorkers from discrimination based on one's: age, disability, pregnancy and pregnancy outcome, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, national origin.
